Shopping Cart Washer: It’s About Damn Time!

Shopping carts are festering pits of disgusting bacteria. Baby butts sit on them, toddlers walk in them. ‘Nuff said. One chain of stores has installed a shopping cart cleaner that kills %99.9 of bacteria. Why is it that every antibacterial agent only kills %99.9 of bacteria? That %0.1 of bacteria scares the bejesus outta me- nothing can kill it! Speaking of bacteria, I wish more grocery stores would wash their little hand baskets on a regular basis(I call them bachelor carts). Those things are always gross.

Source: the sparkling clean Gizmodo, where they always wash their hands before leaving the bathroom. Not that I’m watching.

I agree. This is a great idea. Now if they’d come up with a backet sanitizer for those yellow handle baskets.
