This Electric Motorcycle Blows

The Inertia Electric Motorcycle is a complete waste of money. Not only will you not feel like a bad ass biker while riding it, but it only goes 50MPH with a 35-45 mile range. Now, for the real reason this thing sucks and blows simultaneously: the price. The expected price of this mock-able motorcycle is $12k. That's right. Twelve grand for a motorcycle that you can't take on the freeway or on long road trips. For twelve grand, you can buy a real motorcycle(or two)... or half a dozen Vespas. I mean, if you're going to get mocked during your commute, you might as well be saving some money at the same time.

Kids Are Growing Up So Fast These Days

Sure, in America, the six year olds are shooting each other and stealing cars just like the big boys. But the Asians are not to be outdone. Their six year olds are now driving rascals! They skipped right past that whole puberty/adulthood/retirement home thing and went straight from diapers to using those electric carts that they give you at the grocery store.

Maybe putting growth hormones in milk wasn't such a hot idea... you hear that science? You've gone too far this time. You've gone too Far! Too Far! *shakes fist in science's general direction*

Chrysler's Electric Muscle Car

Chrysler is starting to make concept cars that appeal to the green market- their latest offering is a bit more practical than the Tesla, but still delivers some serious performance. With 268 horses, and a naught to sixty time under six seconds, the Dodge Zeo is no pushover. Plus, it delivers a 250 mile range per charge. There's more info at Gizmag, where they touch on auto manufacturer ties with oil companies, and they have tons of pictures of this beast.

Homemade Electric Motorcycle

One man had a dream... to get stranded in the middle of nowhere because his homemade motorcycle doesn't use gas. Okay, I'm just kidding. but the reality is that this motorcycle only has a 15 mile range. For most people, that isn't enough to get them to work. The good thing is that recharging this cycle is so inexpensive that it's like getting 300 miles per gallon. Unfortunately, this vehicle only goes 40 MPH. Well, if you're going to make your own vehicle, I guess you have to accept your own engineering limitations.

Lightning GT: Electric Supercar

Just when I thought that auto manufacturers were running out of great names for car, a British company unveils the Lightning GT electric supercar concept. Unlike the Tesla Electric car that is about to be produced in the US, the Lightning uses advanced battery technology that can take you 250 miles on one charge, while only taking ten minutes to fully charge the batteries. Add to that a 12-20 year lifespan of the batteries, and the fact that electric motors require so little maintenance, and you've got a winning combination.

Magnetic Electric Motorcycle

This Japanese electric motorcycle concept uses a state of the art electric motor for it's powerplant- it uses an electromagnet/permanent magnet combination in the motor. It is capable of traveling up to 112 miles on a charge, and can reach top speeds just under 100 MPH. This vehicle can be charged from the convenience of your home in 6 hours time. More info.

Homemade Electric Skateboard-Thingy!

This guy made an electric skatebaord that uses one wheel. It's a uni-board! Or something. Regardless, it looks like fun. Except for me, as there's no doubt I'd fall on my butt and hurt myself if I looked at it wrong! ZedoMax has some info on another homemade electric skateboard, and instructables shows you how to make your own electric skateboard using a power drill. Too bad the first one looks too hard to make, and the second one just looks crappy.
