HAL robot suit

The Hal Robot Suit is designed to aid people in lifting heavy objects. It is supposed to see a few hundred units being produced this year. The question is, who will be using these suits? With an expected cost of $42,000 to $59,000, or about $592 a month, maybe small businesses will be snatching these things up. Consider this as a compact replacement for the forklift. Other businesses that could benefit include piano movers, New York movers (or movers in any city, for that mater) and hospitals- for unloading patients. While it is too slow and clumsy for military application, they are working on their own exoskeletons designed with combat in mind.

    These look extremely awkward.

You know- it does…. you are also limited to what your wrist can carry, as there’s no wrist support.
