ramen-fanatic

Anyone who has been following this blog for the last few years (mom?) knows that I dropped the Top Ramen shtick in 2008 and that 2009 was supposed to bethe year of the Cup Noodle here at the Shack.

Truth be told, this picture wasn’t actually sent to me, I just found it at some other random blog and it reminded me of the good old days.. you know, when the Ramen flowed like water and Entrecards sold for half a cent each.

Oh well… 2010 is supposed to be the year that some government officially declares that aliens exist. Rumor is that France will be the first. I hope that aliens like cheese.

Meanwhile, if any internet ladies would like to send me instant noodle tributes, I’ll gladly post it on this blog along with a link to the (work safe) site of your choice. Cup noodles are also acceptable!

NoodleHair Guard Is Bwah-Ha-Ha-Tastic

If you enjoy looking like some sort of flower, the kind you might see during a mild hallucination or a Dr. Seuss cartoon, then I have just the thing for you. Alright, so I don’t actually have the item in my possession, but I’m sure that a few mouseclicks from this post would lead to an actual product page, though it might be in Japanese.

What this product does, besides make you look silly, is it keeps your hair out of your noodles. Why they only market this at noodle eaters is beyond me- maybe they have a grudge.

I’d like to throw in the highly cliched ‘only in japan’ statement, but I’ll spare you by beating around the bush and saying that while they eat tons of pasta, this obviously didn’t come out of Italy.

Drawdio

Drawdio is a pencil/synthesizer hybrid that will fit any budget. As long as your budget includes a twenty dollar bill. Since that is the equivalent of about a month’s worth of Ramen noodles, you’re going to have to count me out, but I’m sure the rest of you can probably afford to shell out a twenty spot without thinking twice. While you’re at it , get your kids some catimini clothes and a starbucks. Go ahead.. I’ll wait for you. It’s not like I have anything important to do.

I see you decided to come back. Yay.

This pencil synth uses the conductivity of the pencil lead to make unique sounds while you’re scribbling away.
