The Pontiac Stinger

Check out this car… it has everything. And I do mean… everything. It reminds me a little of the Aztec…er Aztek. Only, this one isn’t as ugly, and it isn’t an SUV, because SUVs weren’t wildly popular in 1989. Also, this concept is somehow more utilitarian than that particular sport utility vehicle. Though, if it sold with all of these features, it would probably still cost as much as a big SUV.

Wind Powered Land Vehicle Speed Record Contender

I didn’t even know there was a wind powered vehicle land speed record, but there is, and it stands at an astounding 116.7 MPH. I’m not sure how they pulled that off, but the Greenbird (pictured above) is going to attempt to crush that record on some windy day. Speaking of windy days, last night I had enough flatulence to launch that thing into orbit… but then I suppose it would be considered a gas powered vehicle.

Flying Dune Buggy: I’ll Take Ten of Them

I consider the flying car an inevitable part of technological advancement, but I never stopped to think that there would be flying dune buggies. This invention is so many shades of awesome that I can hardly see straight. I couldn’t be bothered to read what the writers at Gizmag had to say about it, but it looks like it uses the same principals as the powered parachute. If only this thing was amphibious, then it would be the ultimate go anywhere, do anything machine!
