Behold- the Beanzawave- a tiny, USB powered microwave. It’s the smallest microwave I’ve ever seen. It is made by Heinz specifically to heat their single-serve foodstuffs. The unit is battery operated, and can be charged by USB and wall outlets.

Why does this bother me?

First off, I don’t trust microwaves anyway. I’d rather not be standing next to my microwave at home, and that thing didn’t have to be made ultra-small and portable; they had plenty of room to add user protection to it. Maybe I’m just being overly worried about stuff… it seems to be something I do these days.

My next concern is for the person who is too lazy to go to the kitchen or leave their car top microwave their chef Boyardee. (on a side note- did you know that chef Boyardee was an actual person?) Back on topic- microwaves are nearly everywhere in the city… just about every convenience store, grocery store and hotel has them. I’m sure if you were to pop in to the Riviera hotel , they’d let you use their microwave for a few seconds.

I guess if you were camping (or hunting?) , then this might come in handy. I also get that some people work and eat at the same time… if the overworking doesn’t kill them, than maybe the microwave radiation and junk food will. One situation where this would be ideal: a stakeout.
