$500 Network Cable? Count Me In!

Now, I like premium stuff as much as the next guy, but there is a point of diminishing returns.
Take this networking cable that costs $500 for 1.5 meters. It delivers slightly better performance than your run of the mill cables, with the slight advantage of it being shielded.
This raises the question- if you paid $500 for your network cable, how much did you pay for your modem and network card?
Seriously- I have a 50 foot run of cheap cat5 cable going to my pc. It gets stepped on once in a while, and I can still pull nearly two gigabytes per second of data through it.
Big ups to OhGizmo!, where the writers also think this product is laughably overpriced.
That’s pretty insane
